Reading Is Social Again (RISA) is a community-driven movement building the future of reading, literacy, and book culture in Africa.

We believe reading should not be a solitary activity.

It should be social.

It should be accessible.

It should create opportunities.

It should connect people.

And it should be rewarding.

RISA exists to bring readers, book lovers, authors, bookstores, libraries, educators, literacy advocates, creators, and brands into one ecosystem where reading becomes a shared experience rather than an isolated habit.

We are not just building another book club.
